How an OMCDS mobile clinic works

We keep the process simple for your team. OMCDS handles the clinical setup, documentation and clean-up—you provide the space and help us reach your residents, students or staff.

1
Plan the visit

Together we choose a clinic date, identify an appropriate space (such as an activity room, nurse’s office or conference room) and review your population’s needs.

2
Gather consents & schedule

OMCDS provides simple consent and information forms. Your team helps distribute and collect them; we assist with scheduling and eligibility questions.

3
We bring the clinic to you

On clinic day, our licensed team arrives with portable equipment, provides exams and treatment, and leaves the space clean. We share clear follow-up notes with families and staff.

Need recurring visits? OMCDS can establish a regular monthly or quarterly schedule tailored to your residents or program.

Why partner with OMCDS?

Oregon Mobile Care Dental Services was created to close real access gaps—not just add a “nice to have” benefit. We focus on the populations who struggle most to reach a traditional dental office and build programs around their needs.

Population-focused
Designed for complex settings

We understand the realities of senior living, transitional housing, shelters and DYS environments. Scheduling, behavior, consents and communication are built into our model.

Clinical quality
Modern standards, mobile format

Portable does not mean “cutting corners.” We follow current infection-control guidelines, use modern materials and take the time needed to treat patients respectfully.

Coordination
Built around your workflow

Facilities receive clear schedules, day-of visit updates and written summaries. When complex care is required, we help coordinate referrals and share documentation.

Flexibility
Pilot days & recurring clinics

Start with a single clinic day, then move to a monthly or quarterly cadence that matches your census, acuity level and staffing realities.

Funding & insurance options

OMCDS works with you to build a sustainable program for your residents, students or staff. Coverage and funding options vary by population, eligibility and setting.

Insurance billing
  • We can bill most major dental insurance plans for eligible patients.
  • Benefits and coverage are verified in advance when possible.
  • Families receive clear communication about any estimated co-pays or out-of-pocket costs.
MassHealth coverage
  • OMCDS accepts Oregon Health Plan for eligible members.
  • Oregon Health Plan covers many preventive and basic restorative services, including cleanings, exams, X-rays, fluoride, fillings and denture-related care.
  • An excellent fit for seniors, DYS youth, transitional housing residents and other vulnerable populations.
Facility-supported programs
  • Some partners choose to sponsor clinic days or preventive programs.
  • Ideal for populations with limited or no insurance coverage.
  • We can build fixed-rate or per-visit options depending on your needs.
Grants & community partnerships
  • OMCDS can participate in grant-funded preventive or outreach initiatives.
  • We provide visit data and documentation for reporting requirements.
  • Useful for public health departments, nonprofits and senior-service agencies.

We’re happy to discuss your specific setting and help determine which combination of billing, coverage and program support makes the most sense for your community.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers for facilities, schools, shelters and community programs considering a mobile dental clinic with CCMDS.

How much space do you need for a clinic day?

In most settings, a multipurpose room, activity room, nurse’s office or conference room works well. We bring our own portable chair, lighting, suction and digital X-ray. All you provide is an outlet and, ideally, a nearby sink.

How long does each visit take?

Most appointments are 30–60 minutes, depending on the patient’s needs and mobility. School and youth clinics can be structured for shorter preventive-only visits to see more students in a day.

Can OMCDS bill dental insurance?

Yes. CCMDS can bill most major dental insurance plans for eligible patients. When possible, we verify benefits in advance and communicate clearly about any estimated co-pays or out-of-pocket costs.

Do you accept Oregon Health Plan?

Yes. OMCDS accepts Oregon Health Plan for eligible members. OHP covers many preventive and basic restorative services—such as exams, cleanings, X-rays, fluoride, fillings and certain denture services.

How do consents and communication with families work?

We provide simple consent and health history forms that can be shared with families or guardians. After each visit, we can send summaries and recommended follow-up to your team and, when appropriate, to families or case managers.

What infection-control standards do you follow?

OMCDS follows current infection-control guidelines, including instrument sterilization, disposable barriers, PPE and careful room setup to protect privacy and safety.

Can we schedule recurring clinics?

Yes. Many partners start with a pilot clinic day and then move to a recurring monthly or quarterly schedule depending on need.

Who usually coordinates with OMCDS?

We commonly work with executive directors, nursing directors, social workers, school nurses, case managers and HR or program leaders.
